Saturday, July 13th
7:00PM – LAFAYETTE STAGE

Through their music, “La famille LeBlanc” will take you to Poitou in France, where the Acadians arrived as refugees in the mid-18th century, then on to Louisiana and back to Canada’s east coast for a true Acadian kitchen party. This family plays a variety of 19th-century tunes unknown to other Celtic nations such as Ireland, Brittany and Scotland. Their repertoire is deeply rooted in Celtic and Acadian traditions. The group is made up of three girls playing concertina, whistle and fiddle. The mother also sings some of the oldest Acadian songs and ballads, accompanied by baroque, jazz and traditional piano arrangements by the father of the family. Make way for the show!
